THE CARP ANGLERS SHOELOVING  WIFE:

IT'S ALL ABOUT

R-E-S-P-E-C-T

In 1987 we, Rachid and I, decided to "hook up". At that time we lived in London. A few years later we moved to Manchester, and carp and carp gear in all shapes moved into our life for serious.

Rachids first fishing mate was called Harold, and he spend many more nights with Harold at the bank of Sale Waterpark, than he did at home. But he was happy and I had peace and the telly for myself.

Professionally I work as a journalist by JydskeVestkysten, the lagerst regional newspaper in Denmark, we publish both online and on paper. I am also active i the Danish Union of Journalists, and a representative for my colleguaes at JydskesVestkysten.

This website I have created in my sparetime. Because like Rachid, I love to share great moments. I have designed and build it from the bottom. The colours is chosen with inspiration from our favorite carp paradise: Lac du Salagou in Southen France, where I always find another pair of sparkling shoes.

I am not a carp angler, but when Rachid go fishing, I do all the stuff I like: Shopping for sparkling shoes, hanging out in a café with a good friend or funny colleguaes.

When I have a quiet weekend I watch strange Netflix movies from all over the world. In other words: I do all the things he hates.

I am a terrible house wife, my coocking is horrible, and if I invite people over, they'll often end up cooking themselves or we order a pizza. But I am always ready to help my husband raise his bivy or pump his inflatable boat, and I can make a sandwich.

In short: I love living, and I prefer a happy carp angling husband out on the bank over a grumpy one in the livingroom. Basically it is all about respect, and that why we're still "hanging out" 35 years on.

But check MY cathes

"The woman behind the man" is a fine song, but it is crap. In our house, the saying goes: "the woman beside the man".

I may not be a carp angler, but I knows all the makes, the functions, the good stuff and the bad stuff. When he bought a new set of Harrison Rods, I helped him to add the labels with the Union Jack. My eyes are better than his.

During our "Carping Holidays" I usually rent an electrical bike and ride the mountains around Lac du Salagou, In those moments I always feel like a winner.
