Catch and release! That is the concept of carp angling. Once the fish is caught, the angler will weigh it, shoot a piture or 20, have a short chat with the fish and send it carefully back to the water.
It is a MUST to have a special mat on the ground when you go fishing. It is no-go to leave the fish on the ground, it should be protected and cared for as long as it is on land, and that should be for as short a period as possible.
