When you look at this website, www.carpanglerswife.com, you might get the impression, that I spend most of my time on shoes and carp stuff. But nothing could be more wrong. I spend a lot of time on my job, because I got the best job and the best colleagues in the world.
It is more the 18 years ago I graduated as a journalist. In the beginning I worked on a radiostation, but then I was hit by serious illness, and it took me a year and a half to get back in business.
For eight month I worked as a communication coordinator in a private company, but I longed for the world of news, and got a job at JydskeVestkysten, Denmarks largest regional newspaper. That was 15 years ago, and I am still here. We publish both online and on print. For years I wrote about local and regional enterprises, but for the past couple of years I have written about social topics.
It is difficult cases, and sometimes your research kills the story, but sometimes you actually contribute to make a difference for some of the most vulnerable citizens. And that makes sence for me.
I have allways been active in The Danish Union of Journalists, who organizes Danish journalist, and since October 2020 I have been a union representative for my colleagues. A task I love, both in good times and in hard times.
